1. What is DKIM signing?
DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Mail) is an email verification method which can be added with encrypted signatures in the email’s header.
To put it in a simple vivid way, DKIM signing is like signing a letter with invisible ink – showing that you are the real sender.
2. What does DKIM signing do?
When email servers receive a DKIM signed emails, DKIM would authenticate that the emails are indeed sent from the original domain’s owner, and not from fraudulent imposters.
3. What are the benefits of setting up DKIM signature?
- Increase deliverability of your sent emails
- Avoid phishing attacks and email spoofing
- Prevent your sent emails from being marked as spam
- Safeguard brand reputation and customers relationships
- Without a DKIM signature, Microsoft Outlook is more likely to add emails to the Junk folder
These are especially important because DKIM provides an encryption key and a digital signature, which ensure that the emails haven’t been falsified. DKIM helps organisations and businesses improve their email deliverability and send secure emails, it will eventually help them generate more revenue and protect themselves from cyberattacks.
